The great Russian scientist Dmitry Ivanovich Mendeleev is not only the creator of the Periodic Law of Chemical Elements and the author of the immortal work "Fundamentals of Chemistry", but also the initiator of the development of the most important section of Russian agricultural science - "agrochemistry". In his estate Boblovo, which was located on the bank of the Lutosni River (which flows into the tributary of the Dubna-Sestru River), he created an experimental station, where, with the help of an original fertilizer system developed by him, he increased the yields of agricultural plants several times.
