Abstract

This article touches upon the task of traffic flow modeling by means of Petri nets]. It also describes principal aspects of traffic flow modeling and gives the analysis of changes happening to traffic flow parameters under the influence of different factors. To simulate traffic flow, the microscopic model of traffic flow was chosen because this type of model takes into account microscopic properties of vehicle units what in its turn enables to imitate vehicle movement in the traffic system.
