The article deals with the technology of collection of environmental aspects of the formation, collection, utilization and further use of landfill gas from landfills. The world and Russian experience in this field isanalyzed. More details the analysis of the technology,«Multriwell» and Menard Adaptable Burning System.The economic efficiency of utilization of landfill gas forenergy production, as well as the barriers existing forthe widespread approaches in the Russian Federationare shown.
